The Russian conspiracy theory is being whipped again today by a range of Sunday newspapers after leaked emails emerged of Brexiteers Arron Banks and Andy Wigmore having had some contact with the Russian Ambassador.
Leave.EU and Westmonster’s Arron Banks has admitted to “two boozy lunches” and cup of tea with the Russian Ambassador.
Banks told the Sunday Times: “I had two boozy lunches with the Russian Ambassador and another cup of tea with him. Bite me. It’s a convenient political witch-hunt, both over Brexit and Trump.”
Meanwhile Andy Wigmore claimed emails had been “hacked”.

The two are set to appear in front of the Remain-dominated Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee on Tuesday in what is sure to be a box office showdown.
