Peter Bone MP has rubbished the government’s proposed ‘backstop plan’, saying it’s not a proper Brexit.
The Brexit-backing MP said: “It’s not even a soft Brexit, we’re not coming out. The idea that there’s a date in the document, well that’s just an aspiration.

“The more I read the document the more depressed I got. Effectively it allows us to stay in the EU indefinitely.
“They’ve crossed a red line, it’s not acceptable and many of my colleagues on the backbenches won’t support it and I certainly won’t.”
The people voted for full independence, there needs to be a fixed date for that, no ifs or buts. Any kind of agreement that keeps Britain shackled to the EU is flying in the face of democracy.
