Boys aged 13 and 16 stabbed in Cambridge city centre

The alarming wave of violence being seen across the country has seen young boys stabbed in Cambridge, outside the Lion Yard shopping centre in the city.

Young boys aged 13 and 16 were hospitalised after being stabbed on Sidney Street close to Christ’s College, with injuries described by police as “serious, but not life threatening”.

Two boys aged 15 have been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

Police were called to the scene at around 20:00 on Sunday evening, and the East of England Air Ambulance attended the scene as well.

Once again young children are being caught up in disturbing levels of violence in London and across the country.

This surely should ring alarm bells for politicians. Action is desperately needed, with a far tougher approach on law and order required to stem this surge in violent incidents. The situation is out of hand.
