According to reports from the White House, First lady Melania Trump had surgery on Monday morning for a “benign kidney condition” and is expected to be in the hospital for the rest of the week.
From Washington Examiner
Trump underwent an “embolized procedure,” which the White House said was successful and did not result in any complications. The first lady is currently being treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.
“The First Lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere,” Stephanie Grisham, communications director for the first lady, said in a statement.
Trump unveiled last week a campaign last week designed to help children, called “Be Best,” which focuses on the physical, social and emotional health of kids.
