Iraqi asylum seeker admits he murdered the 14-year-old German teen Susanna

The 20-year-old Iraqi asylum seeker Ali Bashar, has admitted he murdered the 14-year-old Susanna F., tabloid Bild reports.

Bashar fled with his family back to his home country from an asylum centre close to the scene of the crime. His family used a fake name to leave Germany.

He now admitted he murdered her after a “quarrel between him and the teenager”, as a result of which he killed her. According to police and media reports the girl was raped for hours and choked.

For the German police, Bashar already was the prime suspect in the murder. A 35-year-old Turkish suspect was arrested as well this week, but was later released.

Susanna F. was found after a tip-off given by another asylum seeker. Bashar told him he murdered the girl and left her body near a railway in the city of Wiesbaden.

According to Bild, Bashar should be flown today from the north of Iraq and land in Germany in the afternoon. This was confirmed by, Abdul Khaliq, the director of police of Erbil in Iraq.

“We are in close contact with the German Consulate General in Erbil,” he said.
