Richard Madeley spoke out in favour of democracy last night on Question Time on yet another Remain-dominated panel.
Whilst he agreed that the government’s approach had been a “shambles” he pointed out out that that there was no way the 17.4 million voted Leave to remain in the Customs Union or Single Market.
“I don’t think that the 52% of people who voted to Leave had a silent caveat in their head when they put a tick in that box,” Madeley said.
“They didn’t think ‘yes we want to Leave but we want to stay in the Single Market’ because if you stay in the Customs Union and the Single Market you’re not leaving.”

“I’m sorry, this is democracy.”
It is indeed. Those Remoaners now attempting to overturn the result are a disgrace.
