President Trump says he’s not sure if Theresa May’s Brexit plans are what the British public voted for…too right!
Speaking at a press conference at the NATO Summit, Trump said: “I’ve been reading a lot about Brexit in the last couple of days and it seems to be turning a little bit differently where they’re getting at least partially involved back with the European Union. It’s not for me to say what they should be doing.
“Brexit means Brexit,” President Trump tells a NATO summit press conference; “I’ve been reading a lot about Brexit over the last couple of days… it’s not for me to say what they should be doing in the UK” https://t.co/KAnIGoxkgI pic.twitter.com/9fg69k8iqn

“I would say that Brexit is Brexit. The people voted to break it up so I would imagine that’s what they’ll do but maybe they’re taking a little bit of a different route so I don’t know if that’s what they voted for.”
BREAKING: Donald Trump takes a pop at the Chequers Brexit deal. Says he doesn’t know “if that’s what they voted for” and suggests it means “getting involved back with the EU”. That’ll please his pal Boris, and greatly annoy Theresa May.

He’s bang on the money. People voted to take back control of immigration, national sovereignty and the economy. It’s good Trump’s piling the pressure on May. Let’s see what happens when they meet up.
